This is the shaft that turns the ships screw, as seen from the lower level of the engine room.
Here we see the main shaft and shaft bearings in the shaft alley tunnel that runs through the bottom level of holds 4 and 5.
This is the engine room throttle board, showing gauges that monitor rpm, steam pressure (max 450 psi), ect.....
